Being a part of the solution.

Scrub-A-Dub is standing by our employees and community during these unprecedented times. It is our corporate social responsibility to uphold the Safer-At-Home order and be part of the solution, not the problem. While our car wash operations are temporarily closed, we can still meet our customers’ needs as an “essential” business by offering oil change and lube services. It is evident that this situation has impacted our operations, but as a family-owned business we will continue to do whatever we can to be there for our employees, our customers and our community.

Steps we are taking

Supporting public health authorities

Whether it’s closing unessential business operations or taking preventative measures to stop the spread of the virus, we continue to base our operations on the guidelines given by public health authorities.  Our employees are taking the necessary precautions when interacting with customers and will continue to maintain a safe and sanitary work environment. Our corporate office staff will be working remote during this time and will continue to  support our employees and customers the best way that we can.

Helping our impacted employees

In response to this situation, and to help alleviate any burdens they may endure as a result of the pandemic,  we’ve adapted our PTO policy to include up to  2-weeks of paid time off in addition to any earned vacation or sick time and the Families First Coronavirus Response Act.  We have also made alterations to our pay scale to help our lube technicians as they continue to work during this time.

Our role as a part of the community is to help “flatten the curve”.  We will be contributing to this initiative by limiting our business interactions. These actions are a necessity; however, it does have a major impact on our business, as it does on many other local businesses. There is a way that you, our loyal customers, can help support us, and your community right now. By purchasing a Gift Card or Unlimited Wash Pass now, you will be helping us with our operating costs, payroll, and other expenses while we continue to experience significantly reduced business. Plus, between now and the end of April, we will donate 5% of any Gift Card or Unlimited Wash Pass purchase to support the Hunger Task Force who is in dire need of support. And we will offer a $10 off discount on any Full-Service Oil Change when customers show that they have donated blood between now and April 30th.

As much as this situation impacts us from a business perspective, we will continue to do whatever we can to support our customers and community. After all, the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.

Due to the Safer-At-Home Order issued by the State of Wisconsin as a result of COVID-19 (coronavirus), we have had to make the difficult decision to cease operations in the car wash until further notice, since it is considered a “non-essential” business. However, it is our corporate social responsibility that we will uphold this order to help improve the health and safety of our valuable customers and community during these unprecedented times.

We will still be able to support you and other essential personnel by making our Oil Change Centers available. Our locations will remain open during this time, but hours of operation may be affected. While open, our crews will continue to thoroughly clean all surfaces, practice safe and sanitary procedures, and be mindful of the social distancing.

Our staff at our corporate office will be working remote during this time. We will still be conducting our normal business, but with some limitations. Remember, this closure will only be temporary. And we anxiously await our reopening so we can see all of our wonderful customers back in time for some Spring cleaning.

During these uncertain times, we remain optimistic and will work through this time as a company and a community. And we will always be your local, trusted family-owned car care center.

In response to the COVID-19 virus and its impact on our communities, we wanted to reach out and let you know that we are vigilantly implementing enhanced protocols to ensure your safety.

We are closely monitoring the situation and following the guidance of the local and federal government and public health agencies regarding the spread of the virus. Our focus is to ensure we meet customer needs while doing our part to keep you, our employees, and our communities safe.

Here is what we are doing:

  • We have enhanced the techniques used to clean our facilities, paying special attention to disinfecting commonly touches surfaces.
  • We are also cleaning our facilities more frequently with recommended sanitizing products.
  • We are taking more safety measures by closing every other vacuum to increase social distancing and will be cleaning vacuum hoses and nozzles hourly with disinfecting cleaners.
  • We are temporarily adjusting our hours to be open from 7am to 8pm Monday thru Saturday. Sundays’ hours of 7am-7pm will remain the same.

In addition, we are taking steps to ensure the welfare of our employees. This includes instructing employees who feel ill to stay home and consult with their healthcare providers. We are also urging all employees to be vigilant about frequent hand washing.

During this challenging time, there is an increased focus on everyone washing their hands more frequently and being more conscientious about how we interact with each other. This includes the transaction process for sales.

We want you to know that we are doing all we can to make every wash and oil change experience is not only safe for your vehicle, but more importantly, safe for you, our valued customer. During these difficult times, we take seriously your well-being and peace of mind. Your safety is our highest priority and we truly appreciate the trust that you place in our team and our company.
